| The New Independence Party is a caucus within the Independence Party of Minnesota representing issues and aspirations expressed in William McGaughey's 2002 campaign for U.S. Senate and in his book, The Independence Party and the Future of Third-Party Politics (Thistlerose Publications, 2003). This politics aims to challenge the core values of both the Republican and Democratic Parties. McGaughey's campaign raised two issues: (1) a 32-hour workweek by 2010 and (2) dignity for white males (and all others, too). This website is intended to create a discussion among those interested in this political approach with an eye to possible action. The book's publication date is July 16, 2003. |
